Paul Ryan: Fate of Immigration Bill 'Clearly in Doubt'
Breibart ^ | 2/2/2014 | by Jonathan Strong

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, one of the top proponents for bringing a major immigration reform bill to the House floor this year, raised serious doubts about the likelihood of such legislation in remarks on ABC's This Week.

Ryan also provided greater detail about how the GOP's approach might be structured. Referring to provisions to increase border security and interior security, Ryan said “those things have to be in law, in practice, and independently verified before the rest of the law can occur. So it's a security-first non-amnesty approach.”

That statement is important because it implies key details about how he would like to proceed that are at issue in the internal debate.

First, Ryan suggested there would be a single piece of legislation (“the law”) that includes both security and legalization provisions. Secondly, Ryan implied legalization would be in that single bill but that security benchmarks would need to be met before “the rest of the law can occur.”

How about a border? How about eradicating press one for English? Just in emergency calls, perhaps, 911, poison control?

Ryan is a nit wit

Navarro doesn't make any sense. She says hispanics would be okay with an amnesty that doesn't lead to citizenship. The cheap labor contingent must be very pleased with a hispanic bigmouth who's okay with the modern version of slavery.

The only answer is for invaders to leave the US, and keep them out.

The GOPe know very well that conservatives are not going to let it pass. They will use this to further their claims that conservations are the obstructionists.

It was their plan. They are at war against conservatives.

Yes, we are being set up. Even the kenyan came out in favor of the GOPe plan and is in on it.

The GOPe and the Dems are just biding their time and will tag team us later. It’s all about marginalizing conservatives and delegitimizing our positions. If the GOPe succeed they will push the electorate to the left and abandon us completely.

Distrust of President Obama was “the biggest issue” that Republicans raised in their discussions of amnesty.

Right up there with mistrust of Rinos like Ryan.

Ryan, forever remembered as the guy who attacked disabled veterans, thinks we're stupid.

"The rest of the law" you deceiver? There should be just one part of the first law. A completed fence, completed border and coastal security, and completed visa control.

Get that law done.

Then we'll see what happens.

Ryan says he is all for amnesty and wants to get it done. Yet they GOPe won’t engage obama on the issue (trustworthiness) that is holding it up. Curious, that.

It only leads me to believe we are being played here. There won’t be a deal this year and both sides want to blame conservatives for it.

A blame the conservatives replay of the shutdown, basically.

Watch out! This is a Ryan con job.

He will talk like a conservative with ‘secure border’ first etc.

Then he will get a limited bill for border security passed in the House where it goes to the Senate and gets gutted and the Senate replaces it with a full amnesty version. Then it comes back to the House for a vote where all the dems and 17 ‘squish’ moderate republicans vote to pass it.

The thing to do now on immigration is NOTHING AT ALL!

NO IMMIGRATION REFORM, NOT ONE SENTENCE, UNTIL CONSERVATIVES CONTROL THE HOUSE, SENATE AND WHITE HOUSE!

And Ryan is no conservative, he’s a snake.

And they want to accuse conservatives of racism for their resistance to amnesty. Turnabout is fair play.

Distrust of Obama as a factor in decision making was raised by a ***conservative group***. Boehner-McCarthy-Cantor-Ryan are perfectly happy to pass a bill that relies on the trustworthiness of Obama.

He’s the new Kerry. He was for it, now he has doubts and soon enough will be against it. He is not the man we were happy to see as Veep candidate.

Just how many triggers has there been since 1986? The most recent immigration law mandated a 700 mile double fence be built, where in the hell is the 700 mile fence? The current immigration law mandates anyone who enters the United States illegally is to be apprehended and deported, that is not happening! How many socialist sanctuary cities are there in the United States now?

Of course the American people will support numerous triggers in another immigration law, especially if “border security” is first before any amnesty! (sarc off).

Never has any immigration law been enforced since the first wave of amnesty for illegal Mexican Nationals who disrespect our Nations laws, why in the hell would any American expect the latest joke of an immigration law to be enforced?

Simple answer, this immigration law will not be enforced either and within five (5) years or less, another 30-450 million illegal Mexican Nationals will be lined up for another round of amnesty! Hell, why don't the American people just plant the Mexican flag and get it over with, we could then invade Mexico and liberate that shit hole!

This is such a joke, I can't believe it is even being discussed during an election year where the RINO’s expect to get reelected and won't over this crap!

The GOP should keep up talking about immigration legislation (just don’t do it) since it seems to have paralyzed the Democrats.

It is interesting to see how far Rubio and Ryan have fallen from grace over just the past year. Backstabbers take notice.
