Nancy Reagan was criticized vehemently in the liberal press for purchasing an elaborate White House china set even though the set was paid for privately. Hilarious that the MSM gives the Obama’s a pass on their taxpayer funded multi-million dollar vacations.

I remember that. If Bush was in office and pulled the lavish stunts these people have done, in this economy, they would have called for impeachment.

Not so funny. It is another insult by the blockheads of the left.

Nancy Reagan got slammed. That’s why the Republicans need to just go all conservative.

You cannot please the libs.

Nancy Reagan had no real support. She was a liberal. Pro abortion.

the conservatives were not going to jump to her defense.

That michelle is allowed to do anything is not about her but htat the liberals are tolerant of any one who supports their religion, eh, Ideology - liberalism.

A bridge closing is much worse than allowing our diplomats to be murdered by the countrypeople at their foreign post.

the bridge closing, or the china purchase, is unforgivable by conservatives, because these people, Nancy Reagan and Christie, loathe(d) conservatives - not the other way around.

If romping at the boardwalk arm in arm with Obama is not hateful of conservatives and their sensibilities, I am way off.

The WH had no full set of china, the pieces had broken over the years and they were supplementing with previous patterns. THAT was disgraceful. Nancy Reagan absolutely did the correct thing in ordering a complete set of china for state dinners.

Not so elaborate. Not much different than any set of Lenox (made in the USA at the time) that any bride might have chosen during those years. As I remember, the Johnson china was so broken up that there were not enough pieces left to set a complete State Dinner Party.

BTW, I think that the Reagan china was beautiful, and I think she should have taken it with her as thanks for all the fuss that was made over it.
