SAN ANTONIO -- One person is in critical condition after a home invasion on the west side.
Police say four people tried to break into the home on Merida last night.
One of the suspects was shot in the face after the homeowner fired a shotgun.
The homeowner told police he was watching television when the men showed up at his door.
They were banging on the door, yelling at him to come out.

One of the four was all that was necessary to make the other three abandon the break-in and haul their fellow perp off to the hospital.
Under old Scottish law, this was the crime of hamesucken and was a hanging offense.

The homeowner told police he was afraid for his life, so he grabbed a shotgun and fired one shot through a window, hitting one of the suspects. I'm kinda surprised that the homeowner wasn't arrested for attempted Biden.
