Both that paper and the one in Roanoke, under the same ownership, are about as smugly left-wing as you can get, ever eager to mimic the Washington Post. In 2007 the one in Roanoke published a database of every Virginia resident who holds a state-issued permit to carry a concealed handgun. The list contained the names and home addresses of everyone with a permit, including undercover policemen and Federal agents. And then bragged about it. This newspaper group is definitely pro-criminal.

And my comment was badly phrased. The media won't notice this until of of its prominent members is attacked. If some thug went after Matt Lauer we would hear about it for decades.

I really don't think even the big stations would call it for what it is. In fct, they would fall all over themselves finding out why this "child" was so disadvantaged, set up a scholarship fund and insist that Google wipe any character issues off the "child's" FB page, YouTube and Instagram. They'd probably write to the judge and call the NSA on the "child's" behalf; and also have his parent(s) on the show.
