Tebow was pretty much one-dimensional as a QB. In a pass first league, which is what the NFL is, Tebow was a runner. His passing game was just not NFL caliber. I wanted him to make it in New England, but he was just terrible in the pre-season. Belichek gave him an opportunity to be Brady’s back-up, but Tebow did not perform....
Bingo. Tebow has talent and has played in some winning games; mostly thanks to some very excellent defensive teams, but his passing is not only, not NFL caliber, most importantly he doesnt show consistency and doesnt perform well under pressure. And from what Ive read, Tebow didnt do well, doesnt perform well in practice. A coach isnt going to field someone who looks that bad in practice. It has nothing to do with his Christianity, it has to do with his playing abilities. There are many devout Christians in the NFL who profess their faith. The difference is that they deliver.
I would call Manning’s performance last night one-dimensional. Denver could have used a quarterback that could run. I told my wife they would have done a lot better with Johnny Manziel. Now that I’m reading this thread, I think they would have done better with Tebow.
