Why Gays Have So Much Influence on Our Culture
American Thinker ^ | 02/03/2014 | Alicia Colon

We've had the Gaymmys; we've had Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson suspended for expressing unfavorable comments about anal intercourse; HBO has a new series, Looking about three gay men looking for love. It seems as though just about every television show, whether comedy or drama now has a gay character as a regular.

It's not surprising that homosexuality has become mainstream in our culture because nearly everyone has a relative or friend who is gay and we have been deeply influenced by those words of Harvey Fierstein who said, "I just want to be loved. Is that so wrong?" What we have failed to realize, however, is that there has never been anything morally wrong about loving anyone, same sex or not.

But love is not what is behind the gay rights movement; it is a powerful marketing tool, though, much better than using words related to the specific sexual acts that trouble many observers.

One of the most intriguing and illuminating articles I have ever read about this polarizing issue was written by a gay Catholic man, Ronald G. Lee, originally published in the New Oxford Review. Lee formerly lived in Austin, Texas, and regularly visited Lobo's, a gay book store:

Looking inside from the street all you saw were books. It looked like any other bookstore. There was a section devoted to classic "gay" fiction by writers such as Oscar Wilde, Gertrude Stein, and W.H. Auden.... But if you went inside to browse, before long you noticed another section, behind the books, a section not visible from the street. The pornography section.

ARE YOU WITH ME?

Sure!

But I prefer Perverts because it is more descriptive, and in my humble opinion, more accurate.

Look at the men that own and control the media. They aren’t Christian.

New world order has actively been promoting immorality since the enlightenment.

Satan has actively been promoting immorality since the Fall.

Solely because we refuse to fight back.

That is the truth of the matter.

FWIW. I have observed the change in public attitudes over the last fifty years. This is to digress, but as an example I know immigrants to Canada years ago tried to please and fit in. "Go back where you came from" could be heard if one said the wrong thing. Now new immigrants from certain hell holes are given refugee status. Some of them blatantly rant on against just about everything in Canada. Even dictate a change in regular practices. No one dares let out a peep.

What I am trying to say is this. The more aggressive, the more vociferous and in your face certain groups are the more people back off. These groups inner outrage possibly as to whom they are, is vented on otherwise reasonable citizens.

Something strange has happened in our society over the years.

Yes, this is simply the latest tool. IMHO, its roots go back to the point when international banking rose in wealth and power to begin to rival heads of state, back to perhaps the 1200s.

The trader/bankers began to realize they could be more effective at staying in power behind the scenes than aristocracies which nominally ruled, since the aristocracies had to deal with public scrutiny. The bankers’ strategies hinged upon espionage and being the advisors and lenders to governments, while still be able to maintain private relationships with each other.

These banking families outwardly may project that they have a religion of Christianity or Judaism, but inwardly they worship only money and power and seek to take the place of God and be gods unto themselves and rule over “the rest of us” by deceit and temptation.

the gay culture took off toward is current power status at the same time as roe v wade in 1971. abortion and homosexuality are part of the same moral system for the same reason that the cultures that judeo christianity supplanted all included human or child sacrifice AND homosexuality.

The old testatment is full of this stuff. If you want to understand the modern age you only have to go to a good bible study to review the events of the first and second millenium BC.

liberal culture itself which has grown up since the 18th century unitarianism is basically anti christian like Islam.

Get rid of abortion and the power of homosexuals in society will diminish.

A great way to increasingly understand and expand on the Old Testament for Christian and non-Christian alike is to take up the weekly Torah and Haftorah reading cycle across the (Hebrew) year. It can only expand one’s understanding of the New Testament as well, believer or not.

The reason is the feminist movement which brought hordes of women into the workplace alongside of men, turning the workplace into a femme-fest and which spawned new protections for women under federal employment law.

The new power of the federally protected emotional/compassionate sex, combined with a feminized male worker opened the door to acceptance of demands for protection of the new females: the effeminate men who adopted the label “homosexual.” After all, homosexual guys are really just women with penises. Workplaces throughout the world went through this transition beginning in the 1960s.

26 Did anyone find selecting Queen Latifah to sing the national anthem at Superbowl a bit on the nose?

Actually, she sang "America the Beautiful" in the pre-game ceremonies. I believe she sang the national anthem at the SB 4 years ago. I've heard the comments that she is homosexual, but haven't read or seen anthing yet that has officially "outed" her. More than a little coincidental that she "officiated" the homo weddings at last Sunday's Grammys, sings "America the Beautiful" this Sunday before the SB kick-off, and Coke broadcast its multi-language ad during the SB featuring "America the Beautiful" in English and a host of other languages. Our nation is disappearing before our eyes. Folks under 50 years of age have zero clue what is happening.

Quote from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_College_London ...

“UCL was founded on 11 February 1826 under the name London University as a secular alternative to the religious universities of Oxford and Cambridge.[17][18] Despite having had no direct role in its foundation, the philosopher Jeremy Bentham is commonly regarded as the father of UCL; his radical ideas on education and society were the inspiration to the institution’s founders, particularly the Scotsmen James Mill (1773–1836) and Henry Brougham (1778–1868).[19] London University’s first Warden was Leonard Horner, who was the first scientist to head a British university.[20]”

UCL was bounded by key people involved with the British East India Company, as noted in the above quote. Bentham was the agent of Lord Shelburne, leader of the EIC political faction.

Basically all of the famous “free trade” writers promoting “capitalism” from the 18th century onwards were all promoting the agendas that greatly aided international bankers / traders, i.e., the business and in many cases biological heirs to early banking families like the Bardi family. Today, accepted thought on modern economics is all rooted in their writings, they simply have two sides: those who advocate for “central” banks creating money based on issuance of government debt, or money being created with the necessity of “backing” it with gold. Both schemes bring government hat in hand to international banking to either borrow or acquire gold. It’s called setting up and controlling both sides of an argument. While everyone is arguing one side or the other, international banking profits under either of the solutions they designed.

The following link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women%27s_suffrage_in_the_United_Kingdom

is interesting in conjunction with my post #53.

It points out in its timeline that...

“1818: Jeremy Bentham advocates female suffrage in his book A Plan for Parliamentary Reform”

Notice the prominent role of John Stuart Mill, educated by his father

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Mill

a follower of Bentham.

Women’s suffrage movements in the United States were just a subsidiary of international banking’s overall strategy based in the UK.

It should be noted that white males voted against Obama by an overwhelming amount according to an article recently posted on FR. Women’s suffrage is sought after by financial elites because they want to be able to easily manipulate the voting public. Once another part of NWO strategy takes effect in a society, that is, convincing women to abandon morality and also abandon their families, then rigging elections through all sorts of mind games with women voters becomes easy. Today’s “pro-choice” movement is the culmination of these centuries of planning and effort on the part of NWO. NWO’s strategy is to convince a population that sex is to be viewed simply as a bodily function, dissociating it from procreation and marriage.

Agree. A great lie that has been perpetrated is that the New Testament owes a lot to Greek tradition. Not true. The New Testament comes totally out of the Old Testament.

the(sic) gay culture took off toward is current power status at the same time as roe v wade in 1971.

I don't agree with the timeline. I think Roe vs Wade was mostly related to feminism and the ERA in the 70's. I will concede that the attitude that women don't need men to be happy started then but I'm not sure that is exclusively gay, more maniphobia or man-hating.

The gay culture was mocked and ridiculed well into the mid-1990's. Billy Crystol made his name playing a cartoonish gay character on the TV sitcom Soap in the late 70's-80's. Even the first time ellen degenerate "came out" in the late 90's she lost her show and had to be pumped back into the mainstreem a few times before she was re-established.

I would link the "legitimization" of the gay culture as beginning more in the klintoon era.

I lived in NYC during the 70’s and 80’s so I saw what was behind the big media cameras. Every year there would be big homosexual parades that would go up and down 5th Avenue. They would publicly flaunt all manner of obscenity. But none of it ever made the news. There was a black out on it. They’re still there. They still obscene. You still almost never see pictures of them on the national news.

I’m glad they don’t show them. But hell.

Those parades started right after Roe V Wade in the 1970’s.
