I think regressivism is a more accurate word for it.
Actually ..... that doesn't apply, either. The Progs sidelined the real liberals, ate their lunch for them and shoved them aside in Democratic politics, 40 years ago.
Not that "Prog" is a good label, either. These guys are Stalinists. The people who called themselves "progressive" rallied in 1948 around Henry Wallace, Stalin's man, in a rump Democratic convention. They were, and still are, Old Left, viz., hard line Communists. No other handle will convey the proper understanding of what they are and what they want.
And what do they want? Death squads. Black Marias. Destructive-labor camps. "Insane asylums" full of dissenters and liberals and nationalists, all pumped full of thorazine and lithium. A society militarized and in lockstep, marching forward in total darkness of mind.
North Korea, in other words.
