CHICAGO Could too much sugar be deadly? The biggest study of its kind suggests the answer is yes, at least when it comes to fatal heart problems.

I mean, this time, its not your boyfriend whos the cold-blooded
.Jelly donut?
Guess I’ll just have too die . Ain’t give’n up my jelly donuts. From my cold dead hands.
In other news, grass is green, and water is blue.
Current medical advice — drop the sugar, load up on marijuana instead.
So - How long have you been on The Force?
</newsflash>
empty “calories”?
Another “empty” AP article. Medical BS.
Chicago article, in NJ Newspaper (seems like I remember a heavy weight governor from there).
Ending with this:
“Dr. Jonathan Purnell, a professor at Oregon Health & Science Universitys Knight Cardiovascular Institute, said while the research doesnt prove “sugar can cause you to die of a heart attack, it adds to a growing body of circumstantial evidence suggesting that limiting sugar intake can lead to healthier, longer lives.”
Sugar is the latest hyped killer. My husband is going on about it most tiresomely.
I suspect the U.S. sugar producers, those guys in Florida, got too big for their britches and let the payments to their legislators lapse. Look for a resurgence of high-fructose corn syrup, “Not as bad for you as they thought!”
Ain’t no cop,,, just like jelly and cream filled donuts.
If doughnuts cause death, then why haven’t we seen more cops dropping like flies in the street? Well, actually their patrol cars, ‘cause cops don’t walk beats any more. Though, there may be a cause and effect relationship in that direction.......
None of us are getting out of this alive, anyway.
I never liked powdered donuts, even back in the days when I could eat sugar.
Living causes death. If it’s not one thing, it’s another.
Another “study”.
My first question is who paid for it and who is most commercially affected? Then I draw my conclusions to the initial veracity, or lack thereof.
It will take some of my valuable time, but I will get to it to find out exactly what kind of “sugar” they are focusing in on. Be it processed cane sugar, or processed corn sugars, or natural sugars also known as glucose.

So if they tax sugar more it won’t do your body as much harm, right?
Damn Commies and the way they think...
My favorite sugar overload donnut is the powdered sugar chocolate cream filled donut from Dunkin’s Donuts but I rarely eat those but every few years and can only eat one when I do...: )
Chemically, regular table sugar and high fructose corn syrup are made of the exact same two sugars. Table sugar consists of an exact 1:1 ratio of glucose and fructose. High fructose corn syrup, regular corn syrup (Karo), and honey all contain varying ratios of glucose and fructose. Since fructose is sweeter than glucose or regular table sugar, manufacturers using HFCS rather than table sugar can use less sugar to achieve the same sweetness.
I should point out that your body does not sense any difference whatsoever between the various forms of glucose/fructose mixtures.
