Obama says Fox News's O'Reilly 'absolutely' unfair in extended interview
NBC News ^ | February 3, 2014 | Andrew Rafferty

President Barack Obama said that he is “in a lot of ways” less liberal than former Republican President Richard Nixon and said Fox News Channel's Bill O’Reilly has been “absolutely” unfair to him throughout his presidency in an interview that aired Monday night.

“In a lot of ways Richard Nixon was more liberal than I was,” Obama said. “He started the EPA, started a whole lot of the regulatory state that has helped keep our air and water clean.”

Obama's comments came in response to O'Reilly asking him if he was “the most liberal president of all time.” Obama also listed Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson as presidents who were also more liberal than him.

O’Reilly conducted a live and at times contentious interview with the president on Sunday ahead of the Super Bowl. An additional taped portion of the interview aired on “The O’Reilly Factor” on Monday.

During the sit-down in which O’Reilly asked about issues like the 2012 Benghazi attack and the troubled health care roll out, the Fox News firebrand asked the president if he felt his network has been unfair to his administration.

Blaming bush is getting old so now it's Nixon instead?

The problem with EPA is that it grew and took on a life of its own.
We need a department to keep an eye on environmental problems but it should only
be an advisory panel to congress, not a dictatorial agency that can both create laws
at whim and enforce them with their own SWAT teams.
That's too much power for any department.

You know, it's been said that the President of the United States is the most powerful man on the face of the earth. That being said, Barky really is a whiny bitch...

Whaaaaaa, Fox News is being mean to me!!! Whaaaaa, Rush Limbaugh is making fun of me!!! The ministry of propaganda gets far more use out of their knee pads than they did while Clinton was President, which I really didn't think was possible.

It really makes me wonder what would happen if Barky was presented with having to make a real decision... Who would he blame it on? Oh wait, he has, hundreds of people are dead (including, but not limited to 2 federal agents, an ambassador, and many hundreds of innocent Mexican civilians,) and it's... Fox News's fault! Barky would be a joke, if not for the piles of bodies. He's pathetic!

Obama’s infantile intellect is on display constantly. It is only the rapt attention of his puppies in the MSM who prattle on about his brilliance.

I actually agree with Obama. He is nowhere near the most liberal president. He is authoritative, socialist, and mercantilist, which flies in the face of true liberalism.

Evidently even asking a difficult question to Captain Teleprompter now qualifies as “unfair”. Race card next?

-—authoritative, socialist, and mercantilist, ——

Oh come now, that is far too nice

Treacherous, tyrannical, despot are far more suitable descriptives

Little pity-party for The Won?

How much longer do we have endure this whiny tyrant?

It’s bad enough dealing with his diktats, but the constant whining is too much.

Man up, or let the Mooch take over. She’d be a REAL tyrant.

The thing that really struck me this morning watching some of these interview pulls is that the thing that Obama resembles most is a spoiled, petulant child. He's been given everything he's ever wanted, he's never been contradicted, he's been told that he's the most brilliant man on Earth, and his sense of entitlement is unlimited. I'm waiting for the first televised Oval Office temper tantrum. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that it is coming.

I fear it, because IMO that's when the pogroms will start.

Even the small number of inconvenient facts brought up by BOR were of course unfair to Obama.

The rest of the MSM never dares even that much impertinence. :)

“the most brillient mind on the planet refers to the Fox News Network as
“your TV station.”

Just like he said,”I got a pen and I got a phone”.
Great grammar there, idiot.

The President is half-right. Nixon was one of most liberal Presidents by his actions, such as repealing Bretton Woods, starting the EPA, and wage/price controls.

It was Nixon who first proposed the onerous Earned Income Tax Credit too. He wasn't around long enough to sign it into law, that dubious honor goes to Gerald Ford.

The only conservative president we've had in my life time (and I'm old) was R.R.

‘When people interrupt his speech of the day’ - oh wouldn’t that be terrific? Maybe from the Senate floor. Or a little child calls out,

“Look, Mom, the Emperor has no clothes.”
