Sandra Fluke has made it official: she has filed to run for the congressional seat being vacated by Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) after 40 years.

The birth control advocate who shook up the 2012 presidential campaign does not live in the 33rd district, but is eligible to run for the seat. She will be facing off against local Democratic stalwart Wendy Greuel, who narrowly missed winning the Los Angeles mayor's race last year, among others.

She has a better chance than Wendy Davis.
It’s a walk in job at this point.

I am shocked if there isn’t someone in the Waxman circle that’s been waiting for years to step in when he retires. A chief of staff or key supporter.

Either way, the Dem will win this seat and it will be a vote for left-wing radicalism. Doesn’t really matter much in the big picture.

Good grief. This is my district. Please tell me we have a Tea Party candidate.

Run, reagandemocrat, run!!

Or, recruit a like minded peer/friend. Don't let this "fluke" be the best your district can do!

Good grief. This is my district. Please tell me we have a Tea Party candidate. For the love of Pete.

Mine too. I remember when "B-1 Bob" Dornan was my congressman.

She does not have a chance in hell. Wendy has name recognition from her years in the public, plus plenty of union support. Sad, but Wendy may be the most conservative of the liberals lining up for the seat.

Once again, it’s time for the jokes to just start writing themselves, because sometimes you just can’t make this stuff up, since truth is always stranger than fiction.

As for El Rushbo inadvertently providing La Fluke with her springboard to national fame, well.............
