U.S. sets up 'climate hubs' to help rural communities affected by extreme weather

By Faith Karimi, CNN February 5, 2014 -- Updated 0801 GMT (1601 HKT)

(CNN) -- The Obama administration plans to announce Wednesday the creation of seven "climate hubs" to provide information to rural communities facing extreme weather conditions.

The hubs by the U .S. Department of Agriculture will provide scientific knowledge to help farmers, ranchers and landowners battle risks associated with climate change, including drought, floods, pests and fires.

"For generations, America's farmers, ranchers and forest landowners have innovated and adapted to challenges," Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said.

However, he said, rural communities face more complex challenges today because of climate change.

"USDA's climate hubs are part of our broad commitment to developing the next generation of climate solutions so that our agricultural leaders have the modern technologies and tools they need to adapt and succeed in the face of a changing climate," Vilsack said.

The hubs will be in Iowa, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Colorado, Oklahoma, Oregon and New Mexico.

Additional sub-hubs will be set up in various other states, including Michigan and California.

Climate hubs will focus on regional issues, and will equip local communities with knowledge to help them adapt.

Absolute stupidity.

I’ve live rural Ohio my entire life (with the exception of a military career), and the weather we’re having NOW is the weather we’ve always had.

In fact, the weather the last few years is, in my opinion, more like what I grew up with in the 50s-60s than not.

Trying to find a way to subjugate those individuals that are still independent. These hubs will soon be like welfare offices, offering money in times of hardship, enslaving the recipients under the perception they can’t exist without government help.

I notice they didn’t choose to put “hubs” in states like Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, Kansas, Texas. Targeting more moderate states, with the exception of Oklahoma.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

Ah, but now the Weather Channel names every storm like a normal family would name a new child, and setting up these so-called ‘climate hubs’ provides extra funding for the useless cronies who may have grown tired of being part of the Diversity Industry.

They don’t.. they simply expect us lesser less-than-specks to mindlessly believe they can.

The US did not set this up. It was done by an Executive Order.

Who will be funding this?

Great, California will get a “climate hub” to help us with our drought situation. I guess they think hot air, red tape, and more do-nothing government jobs are good substitutes for actual rain.

“battle risks associated with climate change, including drought, floods, pests and fires.”

Helping with everything but the record setting COLD and SNOW across the U.S. These “hubs” would be a sick joke if they weren’t simply standard operating procedure for Progressives and Obammunists: forge ahead with ideology despite reality.
