The State Department once again took Israel to task on Wednesday for criticizing Secretary of State John Kerry’s efforts to achieve peace.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters that criticism of Kerry over his threats of a boycott of Israel if peace talks fail were meant to distract attention from progress in the peace process.
“Any rhetoric that is inaccurate and critical as this is unhelpful. These kind of attacks are unacceptable. They not only distort his record but they distract from the key issues at hand,” she said.
Psaki added, however, that Kerry was planning to ignore the criticism and continue his efforts.
“He has a tough skin and he has seen worse than having personal verbal attacks against him,” she said, adding the Secretary of State would not “spend a lot of time worrying about words people are using against him. His greatest concern is the result they could have on the process. The words aren’t an attack on him but rather on the peace process.”

Kerry is the victim here. Kerry is just doing the same thing that his boss does so well.
I think I’ll wait for the strongly worded letter before taking any of this seriously.
And the verbal and written attacks against Bush WERE acceptable?
I would like to be the ‘fly on the wall’ at some of these Mid Eastern ‘meetings of the mind’ and get the ‘feel’ for how they feel of the ‘insult’ we laid upon them.
How would we ‘feel’ (diplomatically) if a person had run for Leader/President/Dictator etc, then LOST, then the same country that turned him down has the NERVE to foist the LOSER on us to act as an emissary in their behalf?
I know some Freepers will be surprised by my opinion. I think it is highly inappropriate and unprofessional for Israel to attack John Kerry. They really should wait in line until we are done with him first!

Where are the boycotts coming from? It seems that Teresa has been busy donating to Oxfam International. Who is Oxfam? They’re the group Scarlet Johannsen just resigned from, because they oppose trade with Israel.

Interestingly Ted Cassidy was not a tough guy either, back in 1973 at the first halloween Haunt at Knott’s he came through the Steak House Kitchen where I worked on the way to the event and was sporting a black eye courtesy of his little bitty wife. So he and kerry do have a lot in common.
