Forcing Cornyn into a run-off most likely would lead to his undoing. A secondary election is often the death knell for an incumbent because a majority of primary voters have already voted for another candidate.

The GOP run-off for US senate primary is functionaly the general election this year.
Don’t know if the GOP “old guard” have noticed it, but there’s really only a couple of issues they gotta get right on to keep from antagonizing their base.
1 - No Amnesty. Ever. It’s over. Mexico is not going to hijack our nation, period.
2 - Repeal Obamacare. Now. Don’t talk about managing it, making it ‘better’, any of that crap. Kill it. Now.
There’s a laundry list of other items that some would add. But at the moment, these are the Big Ones. They are the Kenyan Commie’s signature interests, and no one should ever even discuss them.
Cornpone is the one who made that mistake. Thus his current predicament.
Cornyn is running ads constantly on the radio here in DFW area, enumerating his many “conservative” accomplishments. He gets no more votes from this house.
