I'm not sure where you came up with that implication from what I posted, 2nd.
I'm just pointing out that the Post Office has had armed officers long before many of these other alphabet agencies were even in existence. Now if someone wants to posit that armed Post Office agents should not have ammunition for their handguns, or should be disarmed, we can discuss that.

I’m somewhat aware of the history of the Post Office and realize that postal inspectors have been armed for some time. I’m also aware of the trend towards militarizing any and all government agencies under the last three or four administrations and their aping of the Geheime Staatspolizei.
