Israel said willing to give up 90% of West Bank

The closed-door negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority over the future contours of a Palestinian state, and how much land and settlements Israel will retain, have reportedly come down to a matter of a few percentage points, with both sides agreeing in principle that the majority of Jewish West Bank settlements would be transferred to Israeli sovereignty in a final status deal.

Citing anonymous Israeli, Palestinian and American sources close to the negotiations, Walla News reported on Thursday that Israel is seeking to annex about 10 percent of the West Bank’s land area in a final deal. Meanwhile, the Palestinians are seeking to have Israel annex only around 3% of the West Bank, the report said.

Some 70-80% of Jewish West Bank settlements will be transferred to Israel whether Israel retains 10% or 3% of West Bank land, the report noted. According to a source on the American side, “it is clear” that Israel is “willing in principle to give up” control of 90% of the West Bank.

I’m afraid the only way Lurch will retire is with a Nobel peace prize in his pocket... wait, that would work, wouldn’t it? I mean, the prize is worthless considering that Obama, Arafat, Carter... got it. Now, if we could only contact the people awarding the prize, maybe they would see how getting Lurch out to pasture would be conducive to peace!

That is fine for you to believe, but it does not make you pro-Israel. It makes you pro-prophecy.

Who says that one can’t be both? I am pro-Israel because God gave the land to Abraham and his descendants in perpetuity. And I am pro-prophecy because I believe that when God says that something is going to happen, it’s as well as done!

Hopefully he will never get one and not one that comes at the expense of making Israel very vulnerable to insane Muslims by giving up too much land

Land for peace war

Okay, I’ll read Glick and I suggest you read Shavit. But please don’t call Israeli Jews who helped to build the country Jew-haters. That is simply offensive.

He does not deserve one. But, considering who's got it in the past, maybe it would be worth giving it to him... if it leads Lurch to retire. I don't think he cares about what happens in the ME, he just wants his sucker price!

That is a judgmental statement based on stereotype, not reality

I admit, some times when Christians try to explain what the prophecies mean to Christians, we sometimes forget that the explanation of how many die can sound horrible while we see it as evidence of God working, and in the end, the JEWS are the survivors

Depending on how it is spoken of and who is explaining it, I admit, it can sound like gloating.

it is not gloating, however, that is what must be emphasized

At least if the professing Christian has any maturity in them anyways, the new believer just doesn’t understand that speaking biblical truth doesn’t have to be harsh, just accurate.

As for those who are trying to usher in the end times, which it seems you are referring to, the number of people who believe they can speed up prophecy are minuscule in the Christian world

The mature educated Christian knows that the world moves in God’s time, not ours, and while I can speed events in my life up, I cannot speed up what is prophesied, especially those things written about 2500 years ago.

I don’t really mind Christian beliefs about the end times because as a Jew I don’t believe it will happen. What I do mind are people labeling Jews as self-hating or anti-Semitic if they support a policy position that doesn’t hasten Christian prophecy. Honest and sincere Israeli patriots can have different views on the best way forward. Christians are also welcome to voice their views, but not to make scurrilous charges against Jews who may disagree.

Might be God will allow this in order to expedite his ultimate Plans......we know there’s eventually going to be a Peace Plan they will all agree on...but I can’t imagine ,really, that this is it. Too many things need to be in place yet for that to happen..and they aren’t.

Besides, “agreeing in Principle” isn’t an agreement.
