Sorry to burst your bubble but here in Washington, we have a top two primary system. That means the top two vote getters advance whether it be 2 dims, 2 R’s or 2 Ind. low info voters vote regularly here because of that damn anomaly. I am a Republican Legislative District Chairman and have been dealing with this since they changed the primary rules and before.

I wish we only had to deal with them in the general, but that is just not the case. Nor does it seem possible to fix this damn primary method. The D’s, R’s and Libertarian’s all joined a lawsuit several years ago to sue the state over the primary. It went all the way to the SCOTUS, and we lost!

Louisiana has the same type Primary system.
