WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) - While talking with a reporter covering the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, the deputy prime minister of Olympic preparations revealed that video surveillance equipment is documenting shower activity in hotel rooms.
We have surveillance video from the hotels that shows people turn on the shower, direct the nozzle at the wall and then leave the room for the whole day, the official, Dmitry Kozak, was quoted as saying by The Wall Street Journal.

Obama is taking notes.
Roflol. Now that is funny.
Ever stay in a Marriott hotel??? Just kidding.
Wow, Russia, who would have guessed? Coming soon to America.
He may find a Reggie replacement...
Get out of the shower .
"Sorry, comrade Kozak has been reassigned to an urgent project in Novosibirsk."
A-holes that run the shower all day like that? Why?
Why would anyone do that?..............
is Erin Andrews covering these games?
The FBI brought a video to Honeywell to show us (late 80’s as I recall.) An FBI agent posing as an American executive checks into a Paris hotel. Then he and his team take us on a tour of the room he gets. It’s wired for sound, the fax machine and shredder sent images to someplace. There were cameras focused on the bed. The computer station had a camera focused on where you’d put your keyboard. All of this was courtesy of the French Secret Service. They spy on American companies.
Some people don’t cotton to water restrictions. I’ve seen them here on drought threads.
Maybe Vladimir is trying to find a new place to putin it....
Maybe they are waiting until the brown water runs clear.
To make potential burglars think there is someone in the room?
not a big deal since the most of the showers don’t work anyway
I actually think the idea has some merit (in certain situations). In many cities, it is almost impossible to drain one’s bladder legally as no businesses offer public restrooms. This is due to the irresponsible few who vandalize the restrooms. One solution would be video surveillance of the restrooms. I’m getting to the age where I need to drain my bladder freuently, and I wouldn’t really care about video cameras if it led to better restroom access.
Wouldn't the maid.....................never mind.
That is possible..................
