A day after the United States government warned of toothpaste bombs on flights to Russia, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has banned toothpaste--and all other liquids, gels, or aerosols--on flights between the United States and Russia.
"As always our security posture, which at all times includes a number of measures both seen and unseen, will continue to respond and appropriately adapt to protect the American people from an ever evolving threat picture," a DHS official who confirmed the new liquid ban told ABC News on Thursday.

This, of course, does not apply to British subjects.
What are the chances that visitors will be able to buy toothpaste at the corner store in Sochi? They haven’t even managed to finish the hotels yet.
Russia has a shortage of good toothpaste, shampoo, and vodka. Keeping those little tubes and bottles in carry-ons isn’t going to help with that.
