Rush commented on Fluke's speech without having heard her speech. He picked up a news summary from a conservative blog and riffed on it. Rush even named the blog.
Near the beginning of her talk, Fluke said she wasn't going to talk about her own life, but the stories of other women, and that's what she did.
She told four ridiculous stories and one that, if true, was a insurance medical need issue, not a contractive need issue.
Fluke never spoke about her own sex life.
You can read Fluke's speech here.
Rubbish.
"When I look around my campus, I see the faces of the women affected, and I have heard more and more of their stories. . On a daily basis, I hear from yet another woman from Georgetown or other schools or who works for a religiously affiliated employer who has suffered financial, emotional, and medical burdens because of this lack of contraceptive coverage. And so, I am here to share their voices and I thank you for allowing them to be heard."
Then she proceeded to tell specific stories about other women.
The only personal thing Fluke said was that she made $3,000 a summer while working on a public interest internship.
He wanted to see pictures. Now we see her constantly on teevee. Thanks, Rush.
