Nope, you’re off by a couple orders of magnitude:
0.45 mm = 0.01771654 in

So no kick at all; and you need tweezers and some REALLY steady hands to load it...

Incorrect. But I see where you missed the the decimal point before the "45mm" part.

.45mm = < 1/2 mm. It would be almost half as wide as a fingernail is thick. LOL. Good luck trying to load that ammo in a clip. Now we should find a "handgun" to shoot it.

.45mm is actually about 0.02 inches. VERY small.

Sorry, but it works the other way. A diameter that is less than half a millimeter (i.e. .45 mm) is hypodermic syringe territory. A .45 caliber (0.45 inch diameter) bullet (what this idiot reporter meant to refer to) is the equivalent of 11.4 mm.
