The names on this survey suggest the Republican National Committee is ready for some big tent thinking. Can they attract tea party folks, libertarian leaners and conservative Democrats? This roster offers two Pauls - both Ron and Rand. And Sarah Palin, John Bolton, Allen West and Ben Carson.
A sleeping giant awakening? The RNC appears to be on war footing as the competitive gleam in chairman Reince Priebus‘ eye grows ever brighter. All the proper political weaponry is appearing: prowess in social media, a feisty presence online and in broadcast, strategic information gathering, image-crafting, brand-burnishing, merchandising.
“Innovate or die,” declares Chuck DeFeo, the newly named digital data officer.
Now comes the poll push, this one borrowed from the relentless tea party playbook, or perhaps the libertarian quest for untapped voter interest. The 32 names on the new straw poll offer some proof that GOP management is ready to rumble, push the envelope, open that proverbial big tent, engage all-comers and get people talking.
Behold the candidate cornucopia to consider: Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, John Bolton, Allen West, Herman Cain, Ben Carson, Rick Santorum, Jeb Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Haley Barbour, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, Tim Pawlenty and Mitch Daniels....

I’d like to see him run for governor first. O-5 is not that senior. If he’d been a flag officer I’d say he could maybe skip it, depending on what units he commanded.
Probably 25 or more couldn’t get 100 Electoral Votes in a general election.

I don’t care what they say but the Democrats are SCARED TO DEATH of Sarah Palin. Don’t look at what they say, look at what they do. If she was the ineffectual moron they claim she is, they wouldn’t be attacking her vociferously six years after her last run for office. Look at Jack Kemp and Dan Quayle. After those elections they might as well have been in the witness protection program.

FYI: I voted Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and Mike Pence.
My guess is not one of them will surface on the repubs ticket.
I was able to cast a vote without making a donation. Like a lot of these survey sites, the donation page pops up after you cast your vote. Just ignore it.
Another case where all the conservatives knock each other off and we end up with another RINO like Jeb Bush or Romney 3
