President Obama and his administration would like us to believe that the scandal(s) surrounding the IRS are nothing more than a fabricated witch hunt designed to cause trouble for an administration distrusted by conservatives and Fox News. He said there wasn't a "smidgen of corruption" present in the IRS' targeting of conservative groups. Yes, that's what he really said to Bill O'Reilly. He as much as blamed the scandal on the reporting done by Fox News. He claims the investigation into the matter found the IRS and the agents involved did nothing wrong in their targeting of 501(c)(4) groups. What he didn't bother to mention is the investigation was ran by one of his campaign contributors and failed to interview the people who claim they have been targeted by the IRS.
If we are waiting for President Obama to admit his administration did anything wrong, I am afraid we are in for a long wait. His past actions lead me to believe that such an admission will never be forthcoming. What we will continue to hear is a narrative that is a lie. Nothing more and nothing less. President Obama is not the kind of President who takes responsibility for his failures. Neither does he allow his people to take such responsibility. If he did, Eric Holder and Kathleen Sebelius would have both been fired long ago.
Even with the distrust many of us feel toward the Obama administration, the IRS scandal goes deeper than we first believed. I wrote about the rule changes proposed by the IRS back in December 2013. At the time, nothing much was being said about the rules. Since then, more information is coming out about how the proposed rules came about. As it turns out, the changes are not a new proposal. As early as 2012, certain individuals at the IRS, including Lois Lerner, were planning to implement the changes in what was described as "off plan". In other words, they weren't going to go public with the proposal. They were just going to make the change and further obscure their true intentions.
How can anyone look at the information available to us and not understand how much we are facing an out-of-control government on all levels? Private citizens who are concerned about the direction our country is heading are speaking out and taking action. As a result, they are being targeted by every facet of a federal government that can not tolerate dissent. That fact is becoming more and more evident. Here is how Cleta Mitchell, the attorney for some of the groups that have been targeted by the Obama administration, summed it up.
Human Events - “I want to make three primary points here today,” said Mitchell. ”First, the IRS scandal is real. It’s not pretend, it’s real. Number two, the IRS scandal is not just a bone-headed bunch of bureaucrats in some remote office contrary to what the President of the United States told the American People on Sunday. And, number 3, the IRS scandal is not over. It is continuing to this day. And the Department of Justice Investigation is a sham. It is a nonexistent investigation.”The IRS scandal is not over. In fact, it is still progressing, with no sign of the Obama administration letting up their pressure. The defense they are using is that it is nothing more than trumped-up charges that do not really exist. In closing, allow me to share the video of someone who knows these charges are not trumped-up, that they are, in fact, a very real and present danger to the civil liberties and freedom of speech of any American who would dare speak out against a federal government that is firmly in the grasp of the most liberal of all administrations. Catherine Engelbrecht knows of the abuses by the IRS, the FBI, the ATF, and OSHA first hand. Listen to her testimony and then ask yourself this question. Do we really want America to look like this?Her one-sentence summary of the scandal was powerful stuff: “The IRS, at the direction of some political elites in Washington - not in Cincinnati, but Washington – took what had been, for decades, a process of reviewing applications for exempt status that, for 501(c)(4) organizations, could be expected to take three to four weeks, and they converted that process into one that took three to four years, and in some cases is still not over.”

I believe nothing that they say at this point. They are proven liars, thus nothing they say even remotely resembles reality.
The GOP benefits from this, they would have never been able to militarize the IRS like zippy the a##clown has. We have been frozen in place by the word racism which is used at every turn to override the law of the land

The organization’s IRS filings list another Virginia address that is actually a drug rehab center where the foundation does not appear ever to have been based.
As first reported by The Daily Caller, the foundation was speedily approved for IRS exemption by Lois Lerner, the self-same IRS senior official at the center of the targeting of conservative organizations that have waited over two years to receive tax exempt status. Despite raising more than $250,000, the alleged charity doesn’t seem to have done much. Its website claims the organization has built a madrassa and was building an imam’s house as well as some “proposed latrines,” but there is no other evidence that the nonprofit was working to “mitigate social-shortcomings in areas of education and literacy, health and well-being, poverty, and lack of community infrastructure in such basic needs such as water, electricity, shelter and sustenance,” as the site says.
Alton Ray Baysden, a former Dept of State employee, allegedly a registered Republican, who helped start the Barack H Obama foundation, declined to comment before seeing copies of a reporter’s passport and govt ID, along with a description of the article’s “motivation” and “slant.”
Repeated reporters' phone calls went to the organization’s voicemail and were not returned.

Sounds like this administration declared war on the right from day one. They intend to win at ALL/ANY cost. It’s like drip, drip, drip until it’s too late. That’s the way I see them. But it will be too late for them too.

Lerner must have something to hide. At least according to Barak "there's no even a smidgen of corruption" Obama.
It wasn’t “just” denial of tax status. It provided seeding for compiling a data base allowing the government, through the IRS, to harass contributors. In other words, it was a political investigation and harassment process of OTD (other than Democrats) in every widening circles. This is the stuff of police states, although for now the penalties were hassle rather than firing squad.
