Olympic Advertisers Come Out in Support of Gay Rights

There has been no shortage of protests and calls for Olympic sponsors to take a firm stance on gay rights in the lead-up to the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, especially in light of Russia's anti-gay propaganda laws last year and international outcry following Russian President Putin's recent comments linking homosexuality and pedophilia.

It is hard to imagine that the Olympics have devolved a forum where the world could see the US Hockey Team defeat the USSR and watch Mary Lou Retton dominate the world, to now being used simply as a forum for corporate America to force a pro gay agenda on real American families.

We see how the state media controls the game by setting the terms of advertising content.

Conservatives will need to break this media and reform it. The money is not attracting the right values or viewers. Americans are still traditional minded so the business sense here is illogical except in the context of a state mandated message.

I don’t much care about the Olympics so I haven’t looked around, but I wonder what the Internet options are for getting Olympic coverage from other countries. There are likely IP blocks enforcing the national coverage exclusives, but there are ways around those.

If you think that the ‘pro gay’ advertising is thick in the United States, you should see the commercials in the rest of the English speaking world... Australia, Canada and the UK coverage is deep in the pro-gay agenda, enough so that quite a few people in those countries are watching our coverage just to escape it.

The grass is not greener on the other side of the fence. Least here it is brief inclusions, rather than entire commercials dedicated to promotion the gay agenda.
