Hey! I've got an idea. Let's enforce the immigration "laws" that we already have on the books?! Why create a bunch more phonyass "laws" that we have no intention of ever enforcing?!
Chuck, that’s a great idea! Particularly if you really want to ensure a mega flood of even more illegals before there is even the teensiest chance of any kind of enforcement. Of course, I’m sure that’s not your intention is it?
The GOPe is in its death throes. The incumbents already there know it too, and are trying to enact policies in order to collect lobbyist loot and still have slim chance of not being thrown out by angry conservatives, either by being primaried or by angry conservatives staying home again if they win their primaries. They can’t stay there and collect the payoff if they get thrown out, but there’s also no payoff if they don’t come through for the lobbyists. What happens after that, they don’t care. They know the GOPe is a dead duck soon, one way or another.
