WASHINGTONHit with a multimillion-dollar barrage of televised attacks, Democrats in tough re-election races want credit for trying to fix the problematic parts of the health care law at the same time they claim bragging rights for its popular provisions and allege Republicans will reverse the crackdown on insurance company abuses. It's a tricky, high-stakes political straddle by lawmakers who voted to create the law, which Republicans intend to place at the center of their campaign to win control of the Senate and hold their House majority.
In one of the year's most closely watched races, Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., recently aired a commercial that shows her in numerous public settings last fall sternly telling President Barack Obama to keep his promise to let people keep their current health plans if they want toand then taking credit after he took steps to make that happen.
"I'm fixing it and that's what my bill does, and I've urged the president to fix it," Landrieu says in the ad.

After all the shuck n’ jive, only one question is necessary: HOW DID YOU VOTE?
They are acting like the Govenor in “Best Little Whorehouse In Texas.”
Did they actually poll the question for total repeal or is it just an opinion of the writer.
Is anyone actually polling the question of total repeal of the ACA as opposed to keeping it? (Just the two options)
“After all the shuck n jive, only one question is necessary: HOW DID YOU VOTE?”
Not ONE SINGLE DEMOCRAT who voted for this mess can hide from this unpleasant fact. Not one.
Sen. Mary Landrieu from Louisiana is getting a shield from Harry Reid.
Reid is going to promote her to be chairman of the Senate energy committee, where Landrieu can protect her states oil and gas interests.
She is in a close race and this will help her to hang on. - Tom
Here’s a new maxim: Nothing good ever happens when the Congress is in session on a Saturday night.

As you know, Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid (D-Nev) cajoled, coerced, and co-opted Senators Mary Landrieu (D-La) and Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark) into adding the 59th and 60th necessary votes to prevent a GOP filibuster of Reid’s health reform bill.
Reid and Obama Administration officials relied on the time honored method (used by Republicans and Democrats) of getting recalcitrant Members to vote a certain way: Bribery which, in the real world, is a felony but in Washington it is called “hardball.”
In Sen. Landrieu’s case the bribe was $300 million in Medicaid benefits to Louisiana.
THEY DESTROYED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
!
Someone should ask Landrieu if she read the crappy 0bamacare bill.
Every single democrat in the house and senate voted for Obamacare.
There is no straddle.
Actually, 34 Democrat Congressmen voted against Obamacare, as the Senate version passed the House by only 219-212.
All Republicans, however, did vote against it.
Thanks for correction.
This maneuver will test the ability of the mainstream media to distort and spin reality. It is clear the Democrats see this as their only hope, so the spin will be incredibly intense. We should be able to hear the attempts to sell this story on radio news as we drive to work the next few days. Selling this story will require the media to ignore or reinvent some very recent history.
Is this the same Mary Landrieu who voted against Senator Mike Enzi’s resolution to create a grandfather clause which would have held Obama to his fateful promise in November 2010? Once it was discovered that everyone was going to lose their health insurance, Senator Enzi with others stated so and tried to save them from themselves but to no avail. It should in no way be forgotten they not only voted for obamacare, they then turned around and voted against the resolution which would have allowed us all the have our original healthcare policies. Bad bad bad!
Senator Babyfat
These a**holes CANNOT be allowed to escape the consequences of their votes.
