Mahmoud al Habbash demands Western Wall be returned to PA, yet remain open to Jewish worship.
Jerusalem, including the Western Wall, rightfully belongs to the Palestinians, PA Minister of Religious Affairs Mahmoud al Habbash stated in a Channel 10 interview Monday.
"There will not be peace without putting an end to the Israeli occupation that began in 1967. Every piece of land that Israel conquered then belongs to the Palestinians," claimed Habbash.
Habbash added that "all the holy places, including the Aksa mosque and the Western Wall" rightfully belong to the Palestinian Authority and must be returned as well.
When asked whether Jews will be able to pray at the Western Wall, Habbash said that politics and religion are two separate things and that there will be no religious limitations.
"Ahalan Wasahalan! [Welcome, Welcome!] All may worship as they wish under the Palestinian Authority," exclaimed Habbash.

The administrations response to palestinian positions, threaten Israel with boycotts.
Good luck with that.
If you believe this, you’ve been snorting too much goat dung.

He can claim that the moon is made of green cheese. Doesn’t make it true. In this case, he’s obviously been sniffing some volatile organic compounds for too long and it’s eaten away the little he was granted as cerebral material.
Israel really needs to shove the Jordanian Arabs in the West bank into the Jordan river, and the Egyptian Arabs in Gaza into the Sinai and the Med, then annex the territory.
There is no so-called palestine but for the Roman appellation. Nor are there any so-called palestinians but for various conglomerations of predominantly islamist arabs which Israel, for whatever God-forsaken reason, has decided to put-up with.
Israel needs to nationalize all holy sites in its country, like most other countries, to end such claims by foreign countries and religions. Once they do this, they can be very liberal about leasing terms, with the *one* condition that the lessee must display good behavior, and insist on it from visitors as well, lest they lose their lease.
For example, the al-Asqa mosque is currently run by troublesome Wahhabis. Israel could inform them that if ever again they misbehave, or allow visitors to the mosque to misbehave, they will lose their lease.
This is a tangible threat, because Israel could then offer the lease to the far less annoying Sufi sect, which would utterly horrify the Wahhabis. And it would work, because this is *exactly* the same threat that is used by the Saud family in Saudi Arabia, when *their* Wahhabis misbehave.
Meanwhile, the Sufi sect wait in the wings on the hope that such an opportunity arises.
But it is dependent on Israel nationalizing holy sites.
there are times when hardness and the willingness to go to war is the best option . This is such a time . And over such a matter .
Israel’s main error was that they allowed any Arabs to remain in the so-called West Bank in 1967 , and that they did not simply demolish the al Aqsa mosque , in the heat of battle , at the same time . I hope they do not make that mistake again .
