Boehner backs down, says House to vote on 'clean' debt-limit hike

WASHINGTON – House Speaker John Boehner, in an abrupt shift, announced Tuesday that the House would vote on an increase in the nation's borrowing cap without any strings attached.

A senior House GOP leadership source told Fox News that the vote is expected Tuesday night.

Boehner's decision to proceed with a "clean" debt-ceiling bill amounts to a capitulation by Republicans to President Obama and Capitol Hill Democrats who argued that the GOP should not attempt to use the bill as leverage to extract concessions from the administration.

Wrong answer.

Sitting out any and all elections is EXACTLY what the GOP Establishment and the RAT Party/CP-USA want to see happen.

For Pete’s Sake, don’t you understand that this is EXACTLY how we have gotten to this point?

Before you follow through on this idea, take a little time and go to your nearest Veterans Cemetery and/or VA Hospital and think about what you are proposing and why.

I can’t think of a single one of US who have served this country did so, just to see it turn into a Third World Communist Sh*thole.

I hope and pray that you think real hard on this. Our future depends on it.

Semper Fi.

“4 million of us stayed home with that socialist Romney on the ticket— you can count that as doubling in ‘16.”

It’s people like you that deserve all of the scorn and ire that can be thrown at you. You are NOT part of the solution. You ARE the problem. You are no better than that scum sucking Parasite in Ohio that voted for Obama 6 times.

We might want to stop electing ‘lesser evils”...

This is likely the cutting edge issue, of course, and we all agree that RINO's are despicable.

However, history demonstrates that we Americans keep fighting wars even when we lose earlier battles. Now, more clearly than perhaps ever before in our history, we are fighting a political war for the soul of our nation both at the state level and at the national level.

We should have at least two simultaneous objectives:
a) to find and elect trustworthy Republicans to local offices while grooming them for national prominence, and
b) to reduce the number of declared Socialist Democrats at the national level.

While we find and nourish suitable politicians to reach the first objective, we must continue the battle to reach the second objective. This second objective is crucial because it is at the national level that the war for our soul will be more quickly won or lost.

That may mean voting for the RINO at the national level that has the best chance of winning the election. To do otherwise is to surrender.

And here I always thought that Boehner’s genetic “round heels” made him an easy-mark, pushover for the Democrat Evil Empire.

And now I find out that Boehner is aggressive and cunning.

Well, you are welcome to think that. however it is a set in stone fact that the rinos we put in office are the people now siding with the liberals.

Fact

Not fiction. FACT.

So anyone that thinks putting more RINOS in office rather than standing up on your hind legs and saying “NO”, has to deal with the fact that they are perpetuating the problem. Another fact. The RINOS we put in there are moving further leftward. By the day. Not rightward. They are not occasionally helping US more often. They are REPEATEDLY voting for leftism. Logic dictates that adding to their number accelerates the downfall of this country.

Bonehead “backs down”

backs down from what? Was there ever any doubt he would go for increasing the debt limit again?

Well as long as he has the number of sheep he has out here in publicland willing to keep sending him more RINOS, he can do whatever he wants, rub our noses in it and some think it’s just swell to do it all again come November.

The stupid... it burns like a magnesium fire.

Sign the petition and check the whip list (with phone numbers) provided at link.

Does your Republican Rep support replacing the Speaker? If not, call them and ask why not. If they do, call them to thank them for their courage and rectitude.

REPLACE THE SPEAKER

This may sound a bit kooky, but if Boner survives the primary would there be enough TEA Party republicans who if they voted for the democrat in the election this November, could manage to pull away just enough votes for boner to lose?
Although they would lose a congressional seat (1 of 435), we would be rid of his ass. And it would give other rinos pause when they consider voting against our country’s interests.

The Republoicans should simply eliminate the debt limit altogether rather than go through this recurring and humiliating cave every time it comes up, or pass a
“clean” hike to the requested level but make it to last for 10 years.

I am headed downtown to visit my the local office of my House RINO this afternoon.

Each time that I have asked him to Impeach Obama he acts shocked, and then he appears somehow to be personally attached to B. .Hussein. Curious!

Maybe he is?

After all, he didn’t get to be the chairman of a powerful sub-committee by opposing Obama’s man Boehner!

Maybe, or maybe Boehner gets his jollies by always losing to Democrats.

Crying can be very helpful when working on a deep tan.

Well, you are welcome to think that.

How condescending of you.

FACT
...anyone that thinks putting more RINOS in office rather than standing up on your hind legs and saying “NO”, has to deal with the fact that they are perpetuating the problem.

Mischaracterizing what I said will not help your argument. Let me try to make it clearer for you.

The only ammunition we have in a political contest, apart from our ability to inform and persuade prior to the election, is our single vote.

Here are your choices:
1) Sit on your hands and let the bad guys take the field;
2) Vote for the lesser evil if that is your only chance of avoiding a victory by the bad guys.

Is it not clear the second choice is the only way to avoid a 100% chance of defeat?

The RINOS we put in there are moving further leftward.

Agreed, at least with the leadership. And certainly with regard to the nonresponse by the Republicans to O's wholesale disregard of his sworn duty to enforces the laws. It is possible to conclude, with what has become apparent with regard to NSA revelations, etc., that they have been compromised to an extent unheard of in our history. If so, of course, it indicates that we are very near a crisis.

Logic dictates that adding to their number accelerates the downfall of this country.

Logic more clearly dictates that when faced with only two choices (at this point in time), the choice that offers the bad guys something less than a 100% chance of victory is the more prudent.

Sitting here in the middle of an oncoming storm and have two alligators cornered in the pool...so you can have the last word.

We have no choice. The fact of the matter is under current circumstances, spending cuts will go nowhere.

I’m no fan of House Speaker Boehner but he’s right - there is no point in handing the Democrats an issue about Republican extremism.

Its not conservative not to pay our country’s bills. And as long as Obama is President, the conservative agenda simply has to wait.
