Mayor de Blasio made a call to a top NYPD spokeswoman about the arrest of a pal who was key to helping him in the black vote last year – and the guy was spared a night in jail.

Bishop Orlando Findlayter, pastor of New Hope Christian church in Queens, was pulled over at 11:21 p.m. Monday in East Flatbush, Brooklyn for making a left turn without signaling, according to the Wall Street Journal.

When cops ran his license, they found two warrants issued on Jan. 16 for failing to appear in court for prior protest arrests. He was arrested and charged with the turn infraction and driving without a license.

The population is down to about 75,000.

Your post made me look at the demographics and population breakout of Gary Indiana...couldn't believe they were that few people left there...

Since 1980 they have lost half their population...

Currently the city is 84 % black and a very large percent of the total population are over 50 years old...

The city will be dead in 15 years...if not sooner...

It must be a hell of depressing place to live...

I live in a suburb of Tampa with 120,000 people...we don't even have a "downtown"

Gary is kind of an oddity here in Indiana.
Everyone south of I-80 pretty much pretends it’s part of Chicago.

this is communism....the laws are for the little people....the riches and priviledges go to the party people....

its not about fairness..justice...or helping the little guy....

its about enriching your friends and killing off your enemies....pure and simple...

And DeBlase seems to have learned well the lessons and tactics of the Communist-in-Chief currently infesting the People's House about 225 miles southwest of him.

Gary had 178,000 residents in 1960... amazing. You’re right - it’s already over for Gary...

The word to the wise seems to be if you’re city’s turning into a hellhole, get out early.
