Unprecendented Lawlessness: More changes ahead? Obama defends repeat tweaks to health law

President Obama signaled Tuesday he'd be open to more changes in the implementation of his signature health care law, as he defended a newly announced delay in the requirement on companies to provide insurance.

The president addressed the changes during a joint press conference with French President Francois Hollande, who is in Washington on an official state visit. Under criticism from Republicans for repeatedly tweaking the implementation of the health care law, Obama said the latest delay was meant to help employers operating in "good faith" so that no one is "unnecessarily burdened" or punished.

"This was [an] example of, administratively, us making sure that we're smoothing out this transition," Obama said. Without going into detail, the president suggested the administration would continue to be flexible on the law.

"Where we've got companies that want to do the right thing and they're trying to work with us, we want to make sure that we're working with them as well. And that's going to be our attitude about the law generally -- how do we make it work ... in an optimal sort of way," he said.

The administration on Monday announced a second delay for the so-called employer mandate. It had initially been pushed off until 2015, but in a concession to business, Treasury Department officials announced Monday that the administration would not enforce the rules across the board next year.

He is not obeying any laws now, just doing what he wants to.

Almost a sure bet he refuses to obey the Constitution to step down in 2 years.

why not? No one in Congress is trying to keep him honest.

the stinking law was passed....he has no right to alter it or stop it or change it or enlarge it or anything...its a LAW.....

but we have no backbone either in the rat party nor the pub party to stand up and scream about this.....

we are just the peasants and we can do nothing about any of this, and I guess they all know it.....

The only way he goes away is if the she-devil steals the next election. She’s the only one with balls enough to throw his azz out.

Running this through my home disgronofier this is the translation I get:

1) ObamaCare itself is impossible/difficult to actually get.
2) Obama has put in place infinite waivers to delay the date ObamaCare is available and required.
3) There is no waiver or delay on the tax penalties for not having an active ObamaCare account.

(Granted the home version disgronofier isn’t up to EIB Industrial Strength, but still)

Yup. “Doormat” Boehner today voted for what Obama wanted only months after Boehner said he would not vote for what Obama wanted.

Why voter would want their RINO House Representative to keep on propping up RINO Boehner as their Speaker is beyond me.

No disrespect meant, but how can cankles throw the bum out when she can’t even control her own husband?
Muslims treat woman like property like a goat.
That would be fun to watch though. Hillary screeching at Obama to leave and him ignoring her. Wonder whose side their media will take.

this is insane. military must overthrow if the people’s house, or the people, won’t.

this is impeach and removal territory. and removal by force due to the senate.

And I’m astounded to learn that apparently he’s still in the lead in his state, Ohio. What do those people need to get wise, rounded up and sent to the camps?

All this complaining, carping and general b!tehing is meaningless. Until Congress is willing to do something it is all monkeys in the trees chattering when the leopard walks by.

“why not? No one in Congress is trying to keep him honest.”

And stupid conservatives are still sitting on their fat asses, refusing to attend local village council, county board and schoolboard meetings to take back their communities.

Who’s more stupid and clueless - the GOPe Congress or the Mammon-worshipping conservatives who care more about money than freedom for their children?

Boehner’s held that seat since 1990.
He’s a monument over there.
24 years in DC is pretty much guaranteed to be problematic for anybody.

We’re dealing with the same thing with Thad Cochran in Mississippi, but it looks like our challenger just may be able to boot him.

We flushed Lugar here in Indiana after 36 years.
Unfortunately we ended up with “Obama Joe” Donnelly winning the general election.

The Democrat “war on women” “fund a libertarian to bleed R votes” “win with a Clintonian plurality” worked perfectly.
