I have a viper on my 300WIN Mag and have it zeroed at 200 yards. I have medium ring set to keep the scope as near to barrel as possible. With reloads I ran my ballistic calculator for range out to 800. The knob on the Viper was dead on and I was extremly happy happy happy....

I wish the crosshairs were a level better but for the money the Vortex is a hell of a scope.

It sure does seem like a lot of scope for the money- front focal plane laser etched illuminated reticle, side focus, 6-24x mag, 50 mm objective, 30 mm tube, argon purged, multi coated lenses, rock solid tactical turrets, rock solid construction overall, unlimited lifetime warranty, etc. I don’t think I have read a bad review and I have read hundreds of reviews on this product. All this for less than a grand? You could buy 3-5 vortex scopes for the price of one Leupold or Nightforce with the same features and I’m really not convinced that the Leupold or Nightforce is 3-5 times better. I’m pretty happy with this product myself. I can’t wait to mount it and use it.
