President Barack Obama (pictured) has been aggressively pushing an agenda that strengthens the core of the nation via education, job creation, and supporting middle class families. Now the administration will turn its aim to improve the lives of young men of color via an initiative titled “My Brother’s Keeper.”
Although the President has shied away from race matters in the past, there has been an undeniable shift in focus from the White House regarding the plight of young people of color who have been disproportionately slammed by poverty, lack of opportunity, and unfair prison sentences.
According to a Washington Post report, the President will officially announce the launch of this new plan this Thursday, and it comes at a critical point in his second term. President Obama has endured heavy criticism from Black leaders and other minority groups for not tailoring his policies toward their needs.

This is nothing more than throwing money at black leaders who have been critical to shut them up and at donors as a kickback. The only "brothers" that are going to be "kept" in this program are going to be those administering the program and getting all the cash.

That's what this feels like. If Obama wanted to help the black community he would be seeking assistance for blacks who are LAWFUL and are attempting to work within the system in an honorable way. That would work as a powerful incentive for good within the black community.
This 'brother's keeper' program props up the criminal class... which helps keep white liberal elites in power... Bill Keller of the New York Times is a white liberal elite - and he'll LOVE this program.

Why is he concentrating on divisive policies just now? Perhaps the fact that Hispanics support is rapidly eroding even with the immigration push. His positive support with that group is down to 53% with only 14% strongly supporting and 38% opposition. It’s not just whites that can’t stand the stench coming from this administration. Plus, these numbers are from Gallup who trends left.

Word of caution, crime is not counted correctly. More of our governments fuzzy math tricks. It is Hierarchical Counted, only the most serious crime is counted if there were actually 4 crimes committed at the time. Kidnap, rape, rob then kill a person, only the murder counts. Obama does understand that he has been President for the past 5 years, right? He does understand that the Democrats have controlled the Senate, right? So by claiming the above he is admitting that both he and the Democrats have failed for 5 years.......

Maybe he could start by restoring some jobs, like building a pipeline or producing coal. Jobs that strong young guys could make a start, buy a house, get more education, start a cohesive family.
Everyone seems to be missing the point here. That is such a powerful verse from the Torah. To make it apply to one group helping only members of that group is a misuse of the Bible—in fact, a contradiction of what it means.
