[Peter] King [(R-N.Y.)] blasts 'morons' in Republican Party
The Hill ^ | 02-12-2014 | Mario Trujillo

Posted on 02/12/2014 11:05:35 AM PST by PaulCruz2016

Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) defended Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Wednesday after the House passed a clean debt-limit bill that raised the ire of conservatives.

King branded as “morons” many conservatives in the GOP caucus who consistently oppose any effort to pass the debt limit, asserting they are the same faction that led to the government shutdown last year.

“This is the same group that back in September and October went into a government shutdown that everybody knew was a disaster,” King said on MSNBC. “They ended up looking like morons following Ted Cruz over the cliff.”

King had been one of the most vocal critics of the strategy that led to the government shutdown last year. He said the Speaker tried everything to get appease his members Tuesday.

However, many of them didn’t have the "guts" to vote on any proposal to raise the borrowing limit, King said.

“John tried everything,” he said. "I was so disgusted with people in the Republican conference. So many got up and said they knew they had to pass the debt ceiling, but they didn’t have the guts to vote for it. And they wouldn’t vote for anything. And that’s why he had to do what he did.”

King has gone south, I mean senile several years ago. Boehner is just a sycophant for Obama.

The Republican party is a joke. I respect the communists Democratic Party more than the Republican Party only because they do something and always win. What a joke America has become. Maybe we need a new party after all. If the Republican party gets nothing done what have we lost.

Funny post but poll after poll show the American people oppose a govt. shutdown.

It is the same American people who voted Obama in.

I think that it is time to come to terms with the fact that conservatives and Republicans have vastly different visions for the future of America.

The only question is what to do about that difference.

Both Conservatives and Liberals want to change the world.

Conservatives understand that real change comes by example, not by telling people what to think or do. We tend to trust people, by a leap of faith, that they will act in accordance with their self interest which in turn benefits society as a whole. So long as there is transparency and a known set of rules.

Liberals, on the other hand, have no faith in mankind. They don’t trust people and as a result they find it necessary to tell people what they should think and do.

Liberals have taken the reigns in this effort to “make the world better”. They have figured out that there are now enough people that actually do want to be told what to think.

Meanwhile, conservatives hope and pray that we can just slow down this liberal Juggernaut. Slow it down long enough for reality to set in. Long enough for a critical mass of thinking and thoughtful people to have a positive affect on our culture.

It reminds me of this song;

Everywhere is freaks and hairies
Dykes and fairies, tell me where is sanity
Tax the rich, feed the poor
Till there are no rich no more

I’d love to change the world
But I don’t know what to do
So I’ll leave it up to you

A Media poll is viewed by most respondents as a memory test on current events.

The respondents are given questions with fixed answers, (yes, no, uncertain, for, against, important, less important, etc).

The Media pollsters know that Americans want to please, and thus phrase the question in such a way as to draw out that American desire.

For example:
1.) “Do you agree that Most Americans want to invest more in their children’s quality of learning?”

2.) “Do you agree with most Americans that the Trillions of tax payer dollars have ruined our Nation’s Public Schools and Universities?”

are two questions designed to encourage the respondent to agree with “most Americans” and elicit the desired “Yes” response, with opposing conclusions.

Reid refused to Compromise. Obama refused to compromise.

Boehner compromised so often that his tan turned the same color as his eyes.

The low information voter has only heard that the Left Stream Media blames Boehner,.

Ergo, another slam dunk for the Left.
