“A top state official said that the average residential customer would pay $1 to $1.50 a month under the Patrick plan, which aims to cut air pollution and create more jobs in the growing solar-energy industry.”

In this economy and especially the economy in Boston, people will not be able to afford that $1.50 extra per month as that adds up to $18.00 a year and $180.00 over ten years.

And while they claim this will create jobs in the solar industry, they fail to mention the jobs that will be lost in a struggling oil and gas industry.

To say nothing about the jobs that will be lost in all high-energy-using industries.
