From a friend, and I have to share:

*************

“The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive veterans of early wars were treated and appreciated by our nation.”
— President George Washington

George Washington was an outstanding General and a remarkable President. On the freezing banks of the Delaware River in December, 1776, Washington and his men, many without shoes on their frigid feet or blankets to keep them warm, launched a surprise attack and victory was theirs! Throughout the miserable conditions Washington and his men endured, the General sent many letters asking for blankets and necessary provisions for his men, and his requests were mostly ignored. I remember reading that Washington had his officers clean up their uniforms before their victorious charge across the choppy waters of the Delaware. He knew his Soldier's Warrior hearts needed rejuvenation, they needed to feel pride and hope in their hearts, and he knew they desperately needed a victory that their rejuvenated warrior hearts could deliver! And deliver they did! The British were defeated by these ragtag American Warriors led by their brilliant General. General George Washington intended to beat the British back to England and as the great General he was, he knew that was not possible without the hearts and minds of his Warriors!

Today, 238 years later, we have brave American warriors stationed in the hell-hole of Afghanistan, and just like Washington's brave men, these Americans volunteered for this fight. They willingly signed up to risk their lives so that their fellow Americans could live free and safe. And I'm very sorry to say, so many of these fellow Americans have forgotten them.

I read a story the other day that broke my heart. A Soldier lost his life to this evil enemy and their cowardly IED device. At his funeral, his grieving mother was told by several attendees that they were so sorry and they didn't even know we still had Soldiers stationed in Afghanistan.

I Pray, Please Dear God, Bless Her and Watch Over Her. Help Her Precious Patriotic Mind and Heart.

I Pray, Please Dear God, Bless Our Troops and Please Watch Over Them and Watch Their Back.

It sickens me that so many America have forgotten the very Brave Warriors who selflessly serve to keep them safe. I remember after 9/11, all Americans swore they would never forgive and they would never forget.

As this coward in the White House looks the other way, 65 terrorists responsible for the deaths of our Sons were released last week. This disgusting news was covered by Fox News for only one day:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/02/13/afghanistan-releases-65-accused-militants-despite-American-protest/

Last week, we learned lst Lt Michael Behenna, after serving 5 years in Leavenworth for killing a known Al Qaeda operative, will be released from prison on March 14th. He will finally return to his family and to this great man's credit, one of the first things he thought about upon the news of his release, was the welfare of his Brothers he would leave behind at Leavenworth.

To my dismay, there are many Americans who know nothing about this brave young Warrior and his Brothers who will continue to remain locked up in Leavenworth for their actions on a battlefield where the hearts and minds of the terrorists are of more concern to this President and his administration than our own Sons.

It sickens me that this Commander-in-Chief continues to release brutal terrorists like Daqduq, who tortured and killed 5 American Sons:

All the advantages are afforded to this brutal enemy on the battlefield in Afghanistan. Last week, we lost 2 more of our Sons to this enemy. They are told to trust and train. This was sent to me last week by a Soldier in Afghanistan:

This soldier’s morale is so very low. I ask you on this day to please say a prayer for our Troops and think about them. There is not a minute that they don't think of all of you. They need your support and just as their Brothers 238 years ago, their Warrior hearts need rejuvenation.

If you are so inclined, please pick up your phone today and remind your Congressmen and Senators:
· We have Warriors fighting in a far off land on a battlefield which affords the enemy all the advantages.
· We lost 2 of our Sons last week in a green on blue attack.
· 65 terrorists were released just last week to kill more of our Sons.
· Please let them know that we continue to keep our Sons locked up in Leavenworth. Ask them to look up the name Derrick Miller, who received a life sentence for killing a terrorist.

I ask you, today and everyday, to talk about our Troops. They are risking their precious lives every single day and they desperately need to know that YOU give a damn.

With A Mother's Heart,

Beverly Perlson
