RUSH: Now, ladies and gentlemen, yesterday on this program, I mentioned it but did not discuss it, and that is Michael Sam, University of Missouri, announcing that he's gay prior to entering the NFL. He wants to enter the NFL. He's a defensive end from Mizzou, number 52, entering the NFL draft. He's going into the draft as the first public professional-in-waiting player to come out.

I listen rarely, but happened to listen today as I was driving and could find nothing else to listen to.
I thought I was the only one whose thoughts were exactly as yours! when he griped about talking heads in DC who do nothing to upset the equilibrium, I immediately thought of him. I do not begrudge him one iota nor penny of his success, but if you look where America was when he started, and where we are now, it is pretty much impossible to portray him as anything but a monumental failure if his task was to “keep talking until everyone agrees with me.”
When he started in when 1988 or something like that, we were a troubled nation but had hope after two terms of The Gipper. now we have gone over the cliff after two terms of Xlintoon, two terms of W, and now the unending reign of the grifter.
Gayness has gone from being “the love that dare speak it’s name...” To being “the love that won’t shut the hell up...”
Yeesh. Yes. We get it already.
What it is... Is a fetish. No more and no less.
THEY ( the progressive liberal left ) WANT it to be an ISSUE.
THEY intentionally make it an ISSUE.
It's part of their TACTIC to make you feel uncomfortable and "off balance" while THEY continue to PUSH their FULL AGENDA of full scale progressive liberal ideas.
Ideas like Solyndra, Obamacare, Food Stamp Explosion, etc, just depicts their efforts that THEY KNOW BEST what America needs.
Liberals use homosexuality or any other put upon group they can find to undermine traditional values because it is essential to their survival as a Party to do so.
Traditional American values stress INDIVIDUAL excellence in all facets of a person's life whether it is school, work, religion, or what have you. People who adhere to traditional American values tend to be happy, healthy, self-reliant people.
These are the type of people that liberals despise because they have no need or desire for liberals and liberalism and, by extension, the Democrat party.
Democrats (liberals) must have a continuous supply of put upon victims to champion in order to maintain their political power. If their base suddenly started fending for themselves and taking responsibility for their own lives Democrats would be hard pressed to win election at any level.
Therefore, Democrats (liberals) must use homosexuality, race, inequality and every other victim group they can find to stay in power.
In short, no victims, no Democrats. It comes down to that.

It’s used as a wedge to prevent liberals from turning conservative. yeah, it pisses conservatives off. But it’s real value is blocking liberals from waking up, by raising the social cost too high, in the liberal world, to risk learning of the sanity of conservative positions.
If you think about it, pushing gay issues right now, when Obamacare is tanking, makes perfect sense. Obamacare is forcing liberals to wake up about economic realitites. That’s the root of become conservative. So gay issues are being screamed at them 24/7 to make them back off of the Obamacare economics, because - remember - liberalism is collectivism.
So the Leftists are presenting a package deal to liberals - wake up about economics through studying the catastrophe of Obamacare, and you hate gays. No, in the sane world that link makes no sense. But in the world in all-or-nothing liberal loyalty tests, it’s literally how the world goes round.
