U.S. President Barack Obama declared this week that he would come down “like a ton of bricks” on firms that violate the sanctions that have been placed on Iran, but the Iranians do not appear to be threatened by the comments.

In fact, a host on an Iranian television program mocked Obama’s threat on Thursday, and suggested that the American president take “one brick and knock it against his head.” […]

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali, Khamenei recently threatened the United States, suggesting that the Americans “exercise self-restraint,” after Secretary of State John Kerry said the military option was still on the table if Iran fails to live up to its part of the agreement that was signed with it in Geneva. …

The only problem is that mocking a severe narcissist can instigate escalation into infantile narcissistic rage, which in the case of Obama could mean a spasm of military violence, just to show he's not one to fool with.

Obama and Kerry are now making empty threats for domestic political consumption. The fact is that the “international agreement” they pushed was a huge victory for Iran. Essentially they may have agreed to stop enriching uranium at this time. In return sanctions have been de facto lifted ( European trading firms are tripping over one another in Terhan). Iran’s nuclear infrastructure remains unmolested and intact. It has been clear to the world that Obama had no intention of going to war over this issue. The mullahs have played their winning hand very well. Now they are even gloating. Obama and Kerry are now realizing that they have badly mishandled the entire affair.

The Mullahs do not care about his black skin—calling them racists will not turn them into fawing cowards. They will mock him and inspire other bad apples to do the same. Such weakness and division at home has lead to wars in the past. If I was an enemy of the USA —Now would be my chance to seize territory and challenge the USA—because Obama will do nothing but appologize.
