Connecticut Senator Charges Congress with Gun Violence 'Complicity'

Joining with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America (MDA) and Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) on February 12, Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) charged Congress with "complicity" in gun violence.

Murphy specifically took aim at those in Congress who have been critical of gun-free zones and have sought ways to allow citizens to arm themselves for self-defense in such zones. Murphy said, "It's complicity when in the face of increased shootings on public property, some in Congress want to make it easier to bring guns on public property."

According to CBS News, Murphy also said Congress was "exacerbating" the "problem of gun violence" by debating rules to allow "people to bring guns onto post office grounds."

Murphy cited "at least 44 school shootings" since the heinous crime at Sandy Hook Elementary, which took place in December 2012. ...... (Be sure to read the rest)

Senator Murphy seems to overlook the fact that the 'perp' in the Conn. school shootings was a registered Democrat family.
Given that fact ,.. gun violence would be reduced by eliminating gun ownership among registered Democratic families.
He talks of Congress being complicit in 'gun violence' by allowing guns in postal offices,
and yet he cites gun violence at school locations.
The fact that he mixes apples with oranges, and then says it is a vegetable doesn't surprize me.
It just demonstrates the confusion of his thought (DemoRat) logical process,
and makes me wonder what it is that he is drinking , .. off camera ?

I wonder if Murphy realizes that every single mass shooting in the last 30 years has been in a "gun free zone." If anyone is complicit or aiding and abetting mass murderers it is the people putting up "gun free zones" signs that attract the mentally unbalanced. To someone looking for his/her 10 minutes of fame "gun free zone" really just means "large pool of relatively defenseless victims here!"

Just look at the difference between Newtown and Arapahoe. Newtown, 20 minutes before armed people entered the school, what, 26 dead? Arapahoe, 80 seconds for on-site armed resource officer to confront shooter, 1 dead. Yes, anyone getting injured or killed is a tragedy. Gun free zones just make them worse. Guns are not the problem, there have been guns in America since before there was an America. The problem is the culture of violence - the person behind the trigger. Until that changes, everyone must be prepared - and equipped - to protect themselves.

This is what Americans in Konnecticut think of Murphy and guns:

Murphy needs to address the fact that at Conn. mandatory gun registration,
only approximately 10 % of the guns have been registered.
That means that approximately 90 % of the guns in Conn. ARE NOT YET REGISTERED.
I'll bet that doesn't make him particularly happy .

By virtue ot this State law , 90 % of the ( unregistered ) gun owners are now felons
I am sure that Bloomberg's MAIG is happy about that as they want gun confiscation ,.. and not gun control !!
