Brandon ravens football field. Hundreds held candlelight vigil. Momma says he was a good boy. Pics of the vigil straight out of Hollywood all across the front page of the Metro Section. Afro-Americans en masse, weeping and gnashing of teeth. Insurance against a riot? And not one word in this garbage paper about the elderly woman in the wheelchair at the fair who got trampled by these bastards and had her purse stolen. Not ONE WORD. And this POS idolized and given fame and rewarded for despicably bad behavior and making incredibly stupid personal decisions which cost him his life. Including it's illegal to walk across a limited access highway in Florida. Does that fact even come up as an issue???? Guess this is what the Sheriff's Department meant when they talked about engaging in "outreach" to the A-A community leaders to stop the wilding. Yeah this kind of public spectacle will stop it alright. Evil personified and fed to the masses as virtue. We shall overcome. Satan walks amongst us now in broad daylight and doesn't even bother anymore to disguise himself.

She’ll sue and claim that he son had nothing to do with the crimes being committed at the fair, that he was a perfect Treyvon.

The son not only was ejected from the Florida State Fair, he also blatantly violated the law by crossing Interstate 4 on foot. The mother can’t sue.

She will claim his civil rights were violated and go judge shopping in federal court.

It’s possible that he was ejected en masse, just part of the teenage element they didn’t want there.
Either way, he died because of crossing an interstate some 3 hrs later! Why there is concern about the fair, I don’t know.
Painful as it is, we need to stop selfishly trying to pin blame on anyone but the victim. I’m tired of this unseemly behavior. And frankly tired of vigils. It does nothing but look pathetic, like we can’t handle anything, just like the ridiculous constant flag-lowering that goes on now.

I have allowed my sons to wander the fair with their friends when they were 14, but I was also at the fair.

Who lets their 14 yr old son roam the streets on a Friday night? My parents did 30 years ago. Same with my friends' parents. Of course, we weren't out assaulting people.

The average speed of vehicles on I-4 in the vicinity of the fairgrounds exit is probably 75-85 mph. Knowing my son made the illegal and insanely suicidal decision to cross this highway on foot at night, I would have rejected any suggestion of a public vigil for him, or any other kind of public ceremony to celebrate his life. I would be ashamed to hell and back of my obvious failure as a parent to have not instilled in my son basic commonsense during the entire fourteen years he lived under my supervision. And afraid other children might misunderstand any celebration of his life and see him as a hero or role model. What are these people thinking? Do they even think?

Andrew died Feb. 7 as he tried to cross Interstate 4 on foot and was struck by a passing vehicle.Yeah, that happens. If it happened to my son, we'd say, "We're all very sad, but Tom died of Stupid."

People who celebrate "heroes" like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and St Skittles, what do you expect?
A significant percentage of our populace is seriously disordered, morally.

I once stopped when I saw two little girls, about 8-9 years old walking along a freeway exit ramp. While waiting for the police, I asked where they were going. One said she was going to Grandma’s house and could I give them a ride. “Uhh, NO.” Turns out they crossed both sides of a major interstate during rush hour. When the police officer arrived, he gave them a very graphic description of what their remains should have looked like. It was amazing they survived and pathetic that no one cared to call the cops.

They don’t really care about the ‘victim.’ It’s just another chance to wallow in self-pity and victimhood.

Was this young man black? I didn’t see anything in the article about his race. I assumed so at first but after seeing that he, his mother, and his father all had the same last name, I started to wonder. Also, the photo of the mourners seemed to include both blacks and whites.
