You might be right about this imagined new drone. Just as Popular Science has been publishing cover stories about flying cars for over 50 years (and, thankfully, none of them are buzzing my neighbourhood yet); this may be nothing but hype.
OTOH, DARPA has a pretty good track record; and when it comes to tech, I’ve learned to never say never.
Oh I won’t say never. DARPA has and does interesting work. I do think that the engineers will come up with something modular that will meet somebody’s specs. We have good ones even now.
My snarky comments were more directed at the ‘artist’s conception’. They have been off the mark more than on.
