GREENSBORO, N.C. Some Greensboro City Council members are having their trust of the International Civil Rights Center and Museum tested again after learning no one representing the museum ever signed loan papers.
The loan from the city was for $1.5 million and wouldnt have had to be paid back if certain conditions were met.
The city paid the museum the first half of it $750,000 in October, but today the council learned the loan papers were never signed. Some council members are wondering if the city should ask for the money back.

The city’s controller or similar should be held accountable if it was a “loan” and he cut a check without papers being signed.

“Are the taxpayers of Greensboro really this stupid.”
Not as stupid as the persons that wrote and signed the check.

"You say it was a loan? Fine. Let me see the signed contract."

The museum was the personal ATM for County Commissioner Skip Alston and City Councilman Earl Jones.

If memory serves me correctly, the check would have been cut by the former city manager. Don't remember her name. She was recently named to some big time GSA position (makes you all warm and fuzzy knowing incompetence is rewarded). She was appointed by Dear Leader, his imperial majesty. He's black. She's black. Skip Alston and Earl Jones, named in the article, are black. There is not snowflake's chance in hell the white dominated City Council heavily financed by the black Simpkins PAC (all DemocRat, all the time), will do anything but yell as loud as possible while holding their ankles, “Thank you sir! May I have another.” Sadly people in this liberal stronghold in an otherwise conservative state are so use to being screwed by city government, they carry Vaseline.
