I'm certainly for the right of all citizens to be armed, but I'm wondering if it wouldn't help women more than men. How many women (and often children) have been murdered, (sometimes right on the courthouse grounds) by crazed ex-spouses who stalked them and murdered them? The numbers must be in thousands if not tens of thousands. It would be interesting to know how many of the murdered women were armed when they were killed. I suspect either none or a very tiny pct.
It would seem to be that women involved in a separation or divorce should get over their hatred of guns and arm themselves. And a ban on firearms wouldn't protect them either. Most men are stronger than their mates and could just as well kill with knives or clubs.
