"It can't be good," said Fran Madore, president of United Mine Workers Local 717, which represents 1,180 of the 1,300 Remington employees in Ilion. "How can it be good?"

Well Fran, from my point of view, it's a very good thing for those who value Freedom and their Constitutional rights. I almost feel bad for idiots like yourself who subsidize these marxists, but I really just hope you go straight to hell.

Some reporter should ask Fran: “Who did you and your members vote for in the last election?”

Well, when they made the deal to move the high end AR production to a plant in Texas, they offered many of the workers a move to the Texas plant. From what I heard most of them were excited about moving and did. Lower cost of living, no state income tax and a very pro gun climate.

NY sure shot itself in the foot. hee hee hee

It’s fascinated me for a couple decades now that Remington has toughed it out by staying in New York. They watched Colt and Winchester go bust trying to pay union wages and put up with union BS in the Great Unionized Northeast. Remington has watched Ruger, in non-union AZ gradually catch up with it as being the largest gun maker. It’s not exactly comparable since their products don’t all compete but the market pressure is real. There is a sympathy, however, among gun buyers, to not put up with makers who go along with stupid state rules. Recall back in the 90’s when S&W got cute trying to get along with Clinton and it nearly did them in. I expect the top floor at Remington is getting an earfull from long-time customers about tolerating Kuomo.
