Being forced into a union didn’t make me liberal. The same can be said for hundreds of thousands of other conservatives who have been forced into unions (as well as a fair number of FReepers). Polling in Michigan consistently showed that at least 40% of union members supported a right to work law.

Bowman is the real deal and has put himself on the line many times to prove it. There is video on the site of his testimony on capitol hill against union political fundraising. The Union Conservatives were heavily involved in writing the language of the Michigan RTW law to make sure the courts couldn’t overturn it

What makes me sceptical is that their stated positions on seniority, work rules, grievance procedures, union stewards, strikes, union dues and admission of the fact that job security and advancement is comes from a productive and profitable employer are missing.

It is a promising step in the right direction but I don’t see that they are opposed to unions, just opposed to closed shops. If they were serious about it they would be mounting union decertification election campaigns.
