Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, a former stand-up comedian, almost always throws a silly joke into a conversation. Not this time.
He finds it no laughing matter that Healthy San Francisco, the city's universal health care plan, will continue to be available to undocumented immigrants who don't qualify for health insurance through President Obama's Affordable Care Act but not to U.S. citizens who qualify for it but can't afford it.

It is odd, isn’t it, that illegal aliens can get on SF health plan, but not actual American citizens????
Liberalism is crazy in its reasoning, and when specific policies are established, isn’t it?
This one single piece of horribly flawed legislation has the potential to really wake people up to the out of control nature of government in general.

Before you adopt him for pointing out an obvious problem, wait until you’ve had a chance to examine his solution. Usually the liberal idea of solving a problem involves massive new laws with equally massive tax increases.

...Nelson qualifies for subsidies for private health insurance through Covered California. But when she went shopping online, she realized the only plans that come with affordable monthly premiums also come with $5,000 deductibles and high co-payments.
She can’t afford that so she’ll be out of compliance on March 31 when the individual mandate goes into effect. That means she’ll be on the hook for a fine from the federal government and stands to be booted from Healthy San Francisco.
“They’re trying to throw out citizens and legal immigrants - to me, that’s just really unfair,” Nelson said.”

Right. It’s not that he doesn’t want socialized medicine for illegals, that was the idea. He just wants everyone else to get it too.
What a hoot, the SF chumps are now on the hook paying for a health plan for Illegal Aliens only.
