It’s a sad state of affairs when we have to actually make an argument that taking money from one person who earned it and handing it over to another who didn’t earn it is a bad thing.

Well, you see, these poor folks see themselves as victims of the Bush Depression, and Obama is compensating them for their victimization. The fact that they can do what they bloody well please is just a bonus.

In reality, Obama has made it a statistical certainty that a large new segment of the population is permanently out of a job. Instead of his party being punished for incompetence and moral turpitude, they may be rewarded at the polls for their sensitivity and generosity.

I hope the real America is only hibernating.

Exactly. The problem with subsidies is that they are always paid with money stolen from other people.
