GOP grows confident of Senate takeover

At an annual gathering of Republican bigwigs in Florida a year ago, a top GOP strategist was chided after he gave a presentation about how his party would win the Senate in 2014, including a handout that blared “MAJORITY” in red.

“Stop saying majority,” donors, consultants and even some senators told National Republican Senatorial Committee Executive Director Rob Collins, he recalled in an interview. “Just say you’re going to be able to pick up a few seats.”

Fast forward to early this month, when the annual event took place again at the same posh Palm Beach resort. Far from preaching caution, many of the 400 donors in attendance openly mused about what a Republican Senate would bring, and Collins was the one trying to keep expectations in check.

After 15 months in the doldrums, Republicans feel like they’re finally getting their mojo back.

Obama is not willing to expose himself....he calculatedly appears in tightly absolutely controlled venues with small carefully vetted group.

Right----the egotistical jerk can't stand crowds---might hear a discouraging word.

As sickoflibs posted----he seems to be running out of ideas. Signing a stupid $10.00 minimum wage bill. Going to "drought-ridden" Calif farmland to tout "climate change" where the reality is liberals shut the water off to farms to save the smelt.

Thank you. Yes, let’s get this ball rolling. I’d like to hear from the naysayers especially.

This might be it, FRiends. If we can’t get the Senate in Nov, I don’t see any way we’ll ever be able to regroup. And the socialist thugs running DC will be running this country into the ground for a lot longer than the foreseeable future. I have a baby daughter now and I want her to grow up in a real America, not some depressing, leftist version of it.

We need to also assume the Presidency is lost until at least 2024. I pray this will not be the case, but I’m not hopeful about it at all.

There must be a state by state list of the specific battles we need to focus on... If anyone has that info, please post -— not an order, merely a polite request!

We have an “important battle” here in my state.... Georgia.
Our two Senators are Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson, both Republican, bet, Alas, both RHINOs.

We have to replace Isakson with a good conservative which will be a big challenge for sure!. The good news is that Chambliss will not be running again, so we have a real chance of replacing him with a conservative senator.

It will be a pyrrhic victory if we don't also clean out the deadwood on our side.

Support Matt Bevin to oust Mitch McConnell in KY

Support Dwayne Stovall to oust John Cornyn in TX

Support Joe Carr to oust Lamar!

Support Lee Bright to oust Lindsey Graham in SC

Support Dr. Milton Wolf to oust Pat Roberts in KS

Support Chris McDaniel to oust Thad Cochran in MS

Also, support Ben Sasse for the open Senate seat in NE

Which won’t do us much good since the Senate will still be “GOPE.”
