This video has received a lot of attention. As of right now, it is showing well over a half a million hits since it was posted on March 1. It is also controversial. Many Obama supporters have claimed to debunk the video by pointing out that the events were not comparable. They argue that the event in Anbar province that President Bush attended in September 2007 was informal. The Camp Lejune event that President Obama attended, on the other hand, was more formal. They point out that it is not fair to compare two events in which the Marines are subject to different rules of behavior.

The Marines in the Obama video looked like they would much rather be somewhere else. It looked like they hated every second of having to listen to Obama and were only there because they were ordered to be there.
Well then, the Marxist’s supporters are free to post a video of an informal event where he is greeted more enthusiastically by the Marines. If such a video exists.
Horse crap. We are ALWAYS under the same rules when the President shows. The difference is that Marines know the difference between a President that loves them and one that despises their very existance.
I don’t see how they could like Obama. He can’t even pronounce “corps” correctly.
I don’t need a video old or new. I have opportunity to speak directly with many troops from all branches and the NG that have served in war zones under President Bush and President Obama. George Bush wins hands down! The troops for the most part felt that Bush actually cared about them. On the other hand they see Obama destroying the military and having no idea who they are or what they stand for..
Its like RACISMMMMMMMMMMM that caused the different reactions.
I noticed at the end of the clip that Obama just stood and waved to the troops behind the rope line. In the Bush video he immediately jumped up on the riser and became part of the group for pictures, even to putting his arm around and smiling at the female marine next to him in the front row. I am no great fan of Bush, but at least he loved and respected the troops. As for Obama..words fail me when I have to speak of that sorry person.
I was involved with the DC chapter of FR during the last decade, and went down there as often as I could with their Walter Reed and Olney freeps, and without fail, the servicemen and women I came into contact rarely if ever had anything outright negative, but often spoke of respect.
I understand how you feel. I have a lot of differences with George Bush with respect to many issues, but his genuine respect for the troops is in no way contrived.
In the same somewhat extrasensory way kids can understand when an adult is being deceptive or is uncomfortable, military personnel can smell BS coming from above, and they smell it whenever Obama or most liberal democrats are around.
You don’t have to be a genius to see it...the body language of the personnel is stilted, it shows in their faces.
They know.
