I think you are right...but these are not lean times for weapons manufacturers.

That said, it is strange that Ruger's stock is selling at the P/E multiple of 13.90+-...and they pay a healthy dividend.

BTW, Ruger will announce 4th QTR results on 2/25/2014.

I have owned weapons of both manufacturers and am equally fond. But Ruger is really putting out some great new products. Like their SR-556 which I own and really like (great workmanship)...

Try a S&W M&P 15-.22. Great elegant, reliable, accurate little .22 lr M&P rifle.

I own both as well. But to be honest most of S&Ws are older. The last 10-12 years have been all Ruger. Not because of price but variety.

Good looking rifle. Iron sights and Picatinny rail. Plenty of sighting options.
