It’s conceivable. Depends upon how clever the crooks were. Maybe it took them this long to get caught. Assuming they actually did the things they are accused of, it wouldn’t be the first criminal meat processing plant bust I’ve seen.
It’s unusual, but it does happen, especially if the plants are owed by unscrupulous individuals, say of certain ethnic persuasions that have a reputation for unethical business practices, generally from some of the Mediterranean and Mid-east regions.
