On the snooze last night some woman said there is a 300% drop in the ice and that has caused a huge dip in the jet stream which is causing the crazy weather so global warming is causing all the snow and cold in the east and drought in the west. That’s their newest whopper

Global warming is happening for the same reason that the weeds will be burned in Matthew 13’s parable by Jesus.
I imagine the idea of a “300%” drop sailed right over the heads of the earnest folks on the snooze.
If it’s “global” then scientists must take the temperature of the globe. One reading.
Averaging several readings doesn’t count. One reading. How’re they going to do that? With a long distance thermometer on the moon?

People are actually starting to use terms like “300% less” in conversation. Some seem to think it is nitpicking to object to such terms but if people are going to speak in meaningless language what is the point of talking to them? A different language can be interpreted or one could take classes to learn to speak it but a meaningless language is no more than grunts and squeals. “300% less” grates on the nerves of many of us more than the squealing of pigs does.
If they say “three times less” it makes no sense but it would seem safe to assume what they mean is 2/3 less or reduced to 1/3 of the original but “300% less” is indecipherable, a person is left wondering if THE WRITER even knew what was intended. Do these supposedly educated people have any idea how absurd they sound? Do those who accept this meaningless garbage and act as though they understand what is meant realize how absurd they look?
One of the most compelling evidences of global warming was the shrinkage of glaciers worldwide. Haven’t heard if that trend has continued or reversed.
I don’t know what the actual accuracy of the temperature measurements may be but one thing seems certain, there is no way that someone takes the average temperature of the entire Earth over a full year and gets it correct to the second place to the right of the decimal as some of these reports show. That has to be ridiculous. This claimed accuracy alone seems enough to discredit the whole thing.

If I have one hundred bucks in my pocket, and I spend 99% of it, I then have $1 left.
If I spend 100% of it, then it’s all gone.
If I spend 300% of it; then I owe someone two hundred bucks!
No; it was NOT worldwide; but a cherry picked assortment of them.

I have a suggestion as to where they can stick the thermometer. D.C. If it’s “that” type of thermometer.

Yes there is climate change. Such changes are called seasons. The high and low peaks in temperature, moisture, and wind direction and speed are what we simple folks call fluctuations in those climate related phenomenon, as the weather.
It drives me nuts.

This is all about control. Population control, to be exact. They call God a liar when He commanded we be fruitful and multiply. They obviously know better than Him. Just as them.
They got me on that one. To be clear, I'm not saying that man has caused climate change. However, melting glaciers exposing things hidden for thousands of years is evidence of at least a local climate change. If those glaciers are now extending, then even this point would be removed from the anti-man, anti-God environmentalists.
